The same sandwich shop has been the victim of two robberies by the same man. Coquitlam RCMP Robbery Section investigators are hoping that someone will identify the suspect and help solve the case.
The first robbery happened on March 6, 2020, just before 10:00 p.m., in the 2600 block of Austin Avenue, Coquitlam. The suspect allegedly brandished a knife before jumping over the counter and stealing money from the cash register.
The second robbery happened at the same location and same time of day on March 14, 2020. Just like the first robbery, the suspect jumped the counter before allegedly robbing the till.
The suspect is described as:
- A Caucasian man,
- Tall (estimated at about 6’ or 183 cm).
- Slim build,
- Possibly wearing a black hoodie and grey sweatpants.
If you think you recognize the suspect, call the Coquitlam RCMP non-emergency line at 604-945-1550 and ask for the Robbery Section (file 2020-6299). If you wish to remain anonymous and possibly collect a reward, call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or go to their website at solvecrime.ca.
